Did I used to think $12k was crazy for a furnace swap? Yeah, until my buddy who actually does HVAC walked me through what goes into it. Now I get why prices are what they are.

@hayes.jake I get where you're coming from, but I still think $12k is a lot for a furnace swap even after hearing the breakdown. The markup on parts is huge in this industry, and not every job needs a full overhaul. Sometimes people are just paying for the convenience of a big company, not the actual work.

Haha, right there with you - I once paid a guy $200 to tell me my furnace just needed a new filter.
