I mocked steady bedtimes until mine fixed my foggy brain

I used to think going to bed at the same time was for kids or robots. My sleep was all over the place, and I felt groggy every day. A friend kept nagging me to try a set bedtime for just one week. I finally caved, mostly to get her off my back. I picked 10:30 PM and stuck to it, even on weekends. After a few days, I noticed I woke up before my alarm. Now, a month in, my focus is sharper and I have more energy. It sounds basic, but it's the best sleep hack I've ever tried.

My gym trainer says steady sleep helps you heal after workouts more than anything. Makes you wonder why we skip sleep for late nights, right?

Totally get what you're saying @ivancooper. It's like we know sleep is key, but still choose to stay up scrolling or watching stuff. I see this all the time with friends who complain about being tired but won't go to bed early. Maybe it's because the quick reward of late night fun feels better than the future benefit of rest. But your trainer is right, without good sleep all that workout effort kind of goes to waste.

That quick reward thing? It's how our apps are built to trap us.
