Picked the $8 gas station sunglasses over my $120 pair, guess which ones survived the beach trip
Lost my nice pair in the surf at Galveston last Saturday, but the cheap ones from the Shell station stayed on my head through three waves and a wind gust, so is anyone else just done paying for fancy shades that disappear?

Ugh, RIGHT?! I did the same thing two summers ago and honestly the cheap ones surviving is the WHOLE point. Expensive sunglasses are basically just jewelry with a marketing budget. My $15 ones from the grocery store have been run over by a car, dropped in a lake, and sat on at least five times. The $200 pair I got for my birthday? Got scratched to hell the first week just from living in my purse. I swear the universe punishes you for spending more.
