That "turned into goo" part is so real. I had a similar win with a set of bamboo travel cutlery. The spoon warped into a perfect shallow bowl the first time I left it in some hot soup. Tried to eat with a bent spoon that could only hold about three drops of liquid. Felt very smart holding a tiny, hot, useless piece of bamboo. These products really commit to the whole "returning to the earth" thing, just way ahead of schedule.

Oil bamboo gear before using it, stops it from bending in hot soup.

Wait, it only held three drops? That's not a spoon, it's a joke... You'd need to scoop for hours to finish a bowl of soup. Bamboo gear really does give up on life way too fast.
