Showerthought: Why do so many gadget reviews skip the real-world durability tests?
I've noticed a trend lately where gadget reviews focus so much on features and specs that they forget to test how things hold up over time. Last month, I picked up a portable power bank after reading several top-rated reviews. They all praised its fast charging and sleek design. But after just two weeks of normal use, the casing started to crack, and it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. I was on a long drive, counting on it to keep my phone alive, and it left me stranded. Now I always look for reviews that mention long-term use or stress tests. Why don't more reviewers do that? It feels like they're just checking boxes instead of giving us the full picture.
