PSA: Onion skin dye gave my old shirt a new life.

In my experience, boiling onion skins with vinegar gives a rich, earthy yellow that holds up well after a few washes.

Omg that's awesome! I've been wanting to try natural dyes, and onion skins seem like a great way to get that yellow color. Gotta try this soon.

Yellow onion skins usually give a more orange or brown shade, not pure yellow. For a bright yellow, turmeric works way better in my experience.
