I never got the hype for linen until a summer in Greece.

Yeah, same here. I bought a linen shirt on a whim last year and it completely changed how I handle summer. Wearing it feels like nothing compared to cotton, which just sticks to you when it gets really bad. I mean, you can actually feel a little breeze get through it. Total game changer for just walking around or sitting outside.

Wait, it actually lets a breeze through? That can't be real, it's just cloth. My cotton shirts feel like a wet blanket in July.

My grandma's house in Florida had these old linen curtains that would billow out even with the windows barely open. It made me realize we get so used to modern, tight weaves in everything from sheets to shirts that we forget some older fabrics just work better. We chase all this high tech cooling gear but sometimes the simplest, oldest answer is right there. Linen is like that, a quiet fix in a loud world of solutions.
