Tried dry brushing before a chemical peel on a client in Austin last Thursday, and it actually cut down their peeling time by 3 days.
She had really thick buildup and I figured the manual exfoliation would help the peel penetrate better, has anyone else tested this combo or had it backfire?

I read on a skincare forum that dry brushing before peels can sometimes cause micro-tears if done too aggressively.

Exactly, aggressive dry brushing can definitely mess with your skin barrier before a peel. The little abrasions it creates let the acid penetrate way deeper than it should, which can lead to irritation or even burns. Light, gentle brushing is fine, but going at it like you're scrubbing a potato is asking for trouble.
