Once thought rope checks were a waste, now I know they're key.

How do you fit in full inspections when calls come in back-to-back?

Station 14 on 3rd Street had that one Tuesday where calls stacked up like dominoes. We got three jobs before coffee. My partner did a gear check so fast he missed a cracked carabiner on his harness. Found it later just sitting in the bay. That was the day our captain made the two-minute rule, no matter what.

Wait, people actually skip the full check when it gets busy? That's wild lol. I get the time crunch but you're basically betting your life on a quick glance. My crew would lose their minds if I tried to cut that corner, rush or no rush. Guess it comes down to what you're willing to risk.

In my town, @baker.sarah, rush hour means skipped safety checks everywhere.
