That $150 'anti-bark' collar I swore was a scam actually worked on my neighbor's dog
Been telling my neighbor for months those shock collars are cruel and don't work. But she showed me the one she got from a trainer in Portland, it just sprays citronella. After 3 days her beagle stopped yapping at squirrels. Now I gotta admit I was wrong about the whole category. Anyone else find a gadget they trashed talked but then saw it actually do something?

Bought a self-watering pot that I swore was overpriced junk, now my basil is thriving and I feel dumb.

You know what's wild though, nobody talks about how these pots basically force you to stop helicopter parenting your plants lol. Like with regular pots you're always second guessing whether you watered too much or too little, but with these you just... let the plant figure it out on its own schedule. My basil used to droop every time I went out of town for a weekend, now it doesn't even notice I'm gone. Maybe the real value isn't the pot itself, it's how it breaks our bad habit of fussing with plants too much.

Get out of my head, I literally just told my wife the other day that these pots are basically plant rehab for overbearing plant parents like us...
