Watched a guy at the Euclid Ave Dollar Tree grab 6 cans of tuna and a jar of mayo and call it meal prep
I'm not knocking the tuna salad, but when he said "that's 4 lunches right there" I just stood there holding my own $1.25 can of chili wondering how many of us are out here genuinely surviving on this stuff, so what's your actual cheapest full meal from dollar store shelves only?
I saw a youtube thing a while back where this guy did a whole week of dollar store meals for like 20 bucks and the math was wild, he was getting down to around a dollar fifty per meal if he skipped meat. Rice and beans is the classic answer but the Dollar Tree near me only has the little 8oz bags of rice so it adds up quick. My go to is the pouch of tuna, pack of ramen, and a slice of american cheese if they got it, that's like 2.75 for one meal though, not four. Reading that guy call 6 cans four lunches sort of hit me because either he's eating way less than me or I'm just bad at being poor. Maybe it's just me but a can of chili over a bag of the microwave rice they sell is probably the most filling thing you can get for under 3 dollars there.
