Warning: Open kitchen shelving is more hassle than it's worth
I mean, everyone loves the look, but mine just gets greasy and dusty. Maybe it's just me, but I'm switching back to cabinets with doors.

What material are these fancy shelves made of, linda_hill7? A gross film from cooking on expensive shelves is shocking. I always assumed they would be easy to wipe clean. This makes me not want fancy things in my kitchen. It seems like a big hassle for no reason. How does your friend even deal with that mess?
