I'm sticking with wood paneling even if everyone says it's dated
All my neighbors are tearing out old wood paneling to put up drywall. I kept mine in the living room and it adds real warmth that paint can't match. It was already there, so I saved money on materials and labor. I feel like people are too quick to toss out stuff that still works fine.
Speaking of retro, @singh.olivia's fridge reminded me of my aunt's kitchen with wood paneling everywhere. She refused to update it and now everyone says it's cozy and full of character. Makes me think dated stuff just needs time to come back around.
