My $15 door stopper fix lasted exactly 48 hours before failing again
Last Tuesday, that rubber door stop I wedged under the front door to keep it from banging just slid right out when the wind hit. Ended up cutting a chunk off an old pool noodle and jamming it into the hinge gap instead. Has anyone found a hack that actually stays put for double-pane doors?

Dude, same thing happened to me except mine didn't even make it a full day before it popped out...

Cardboard works way better than any fancy stopper I've ever bought.

Wait, you actually got 48 hours out of a door stopper? lol I used to think those rubber wedges were foolproof but after mine slid out for the third time I totally changed my mind about them. I had the same problem with my sliding door from the wind and ended up using a folded up piece of cardboard shoved in the track. It's been there for like two months now and hasn't moved once. For double-pane doors I bet you could try a thick piece of felt tape on the hinge side to make it grippy, that's what my buddy did on his patio door. Pool noodle chunks are decent but they always seem to dry out and lose their shape after a while.
