EL wire strip shorted out after 3 days glued to my jacket, fixable?
I sewed EL wire onto an old denim jacket last week for a Night City vibe, but the connection point got corroded after a rainy evening and now half the strip flickers. Has anyone else had luck waterproofing these things with something simple like clear nail polish?

Oh yeah, @hayes.jake is totally right - clear nail polish is a quick fix but it'll crack after a wash or two! I'd grab a little bottle of silicone conformal coating instead, that stuff actually flexes with the jacket fabric and doesn't flake off.

Good advice, silicone coating holds up way better long term.

Nail polish works okay for short term but it peels off eventually. I'd hit it with some silicone conformal coating instead, that stuff saved my jacket after the same exact thing happened to me.
