Tried to work from a beach in Bali for a week, my laptop hated me

I thought setting up at Batu Bolong beach with my MacBook Air would be perfect, but the salt air and sand messed up the keyboard after just four days. Had to spend $300 at a repair shop in Canggu to get it cleaned and a key replaced. Anyone know a good waterproof laptop case that actually works for real beach days?

Modern tech is so fragile it can't even handle a nice day outside anymore.

Used to think tech was getting tougher, not weaker. Then my phone shut down at the park last week just from sitting in the sun. Screen went black, wouldn't turn back on until it cooled off in the shade for twenty minutes. Makes you wonder what they're building these things out of.
