My "reliable" coworking space in Bali just shut down with no warning

I had been working out of Hubud in Ubud for about 5 months, and last Wednesday I showed up to find the doors locked and a note saying they were closing immediately due to a lease dispute. No email, no refund, nothing. I lost my deposit of $200 and had to scramble to find a new place with decent wifi the same day. Has anyone else had a coworking space just disappear on them like that?

Ugh that sucks. Always use a credit card for deposits.

Credit cards aren't always the answer either. Some places still put a hold that takes weeks to drop off regardless of how you pay.
