Paid 40 bucks for a Procreate brush set and instantly regretted it

I was convinced fancy brushes would fix my art. Saw this grass and tree bundle on Instagram and caved. Turns out the default brushes in Procreate do the same thing if you just tweak the settings. Has anyone else wasted money on brush packs they never actually use?

Yeah I bought a $30 watercolor set once and used it exactly twice before going back to the default brushes. What helped me was learning how to save my own brush presets after tweaking the sliders for 20 minutes, now I basically have a custom pack for free. You can probably get your money back if you email the seller within a day or two, some of those Instagram shops are pretty chill about refunds.

Oh come on, is it really that big of a deal? You spent 40 bucks on some digital doodads, it's not like you bought a car that fell apart. People act like every bad purchase is a life crisis. I've grabbed plenty of stuff online that turned out to be overhyped and I just shrug and move on. Maybe you'll use them later, maybe you won't. It's just art supplies, not a mortgage payment. Your time and energy is better spent actually drawing than worrying about a sunk cost.
