My $800 compound turbo setup lasted 6 months before the wastegate gave out

Bought a budget compound kit for my 2003 F-250 back in March. Sounded great on the street, spooled up nice at 2,800 RPM. By September the wastegate actuator started sticking and I lost boost on a long grade near Flagstaff. Replaced it with a name brand unit for $240, but the install took a whole weekend. The cheap kit saved money up front but cost me two weekends and a tow bill. Anyone else burn themselves on budget turbo parts instead of just buying the good stuff once?

Tbh that tow bill alone makes the "savings" disappear real quick.
