I just hit 10,000 steps for 30 days straight and it felt weird

I got a step counter app on my phone about six months ago, mostly out of curiosity. I never really aimed for a number, I just wanted to see what my normal day looked like. For the first few months, my average was around 4,000 steps, which honestly bummed me out a little. Then last month, I decided to try and hit the 10,000 step goal, just for one day. It was harder than I thought, but I did it. So I tried for two days, then a week. Yesterday marked 30 days in a row. It wasn't about getting fit, it was about proving to myself I could stick with a small daily thing. The weird part is, now I notice how much time I spend just sitting. I take calls while walking around my living room. Has anyone else hit a random number that ended up changing a small habit for you?

My phone thinks I'm lost. I've just been pacing in my kitchen to hit my own sad little goal.

Wait, @grant.sam, you have a kitchen big enough to pace in?

Watch your phone try to map your frantic circles between the fridge and the microwave. Next it'll ask if you need an ambulance because you walked from the sink to the trash can ten times. My watch once congratulated me for "standing up" after I just bent over to tie my shoe. These things are judging our whole lives by a few sad steps.
