That time I rage-quit the vending machine at the bus station
Went to catch the 7:15 bus downtown yesterday and hit the vending machine for a pack of peanuts. Machine took my $2.50, spun around twice, then just sat there blinking like it was mocking me. I kicked the side panel once and a bag of pretzels fell out instead, so I yelled at a brick wall for a solid minute. Now I bring snacks from home every time and treat that machine like it owes me money. Anyone else got a vending machine that picks fights?

Did you read about how some machines are programmed to ding even when the item falls?

Did you check underneath the machine? I had one in a hotel lobby that ate my dollar and spat out a crushed granola bar three days later when someone else hit the right combination of buttons. I found my change in the coin return once after it started raining.
