Back when I used the same password for everything
I remember maybe 10 years ago I had one password I used for every single account. Email, bank, streaming, work login, all of it. It was just my dog's name and the year I graduated. I figured nobody would bother trying to crack it. Then my cousin's Facebook got hacked and the guy messaged everyone on her friends list asking for money. That got me thinking. Now I use a password manager that makes random strings of letters and numbers for each site. It's a pain when I have to log in on a friend's computer but I'd rather deal with that than get cleaned out. Anyone else drag their feet on switching to a password manager?

Wait, you used the same password for your BANK as your WORK login? That's insane, I can't believe you trusted that setup for so long. I've reused passwords before but never for anything with actual money involved, that's just asking for trouble. Glad you finally made the switch though, having everything locked behind random strings feels way better once you get used to it.

Oh man, I feel this in my soul. I once used "password123" for my email, my Netflix, and my online banking because I thought I was being clever by adding the "123" at the end. Real genius move right there.

Five years I went with "FluffyBunny42" for everything including my PayPal.
