A phishing email almost got me on a Tuesday, and the only thing that saved me was a dumb habit
Last Tuesday I got an email that looked exactly like a DocuSign request from my boss, same font, same footer, the whole thing, and I clicked the link without thinking twice. It asked me to log in with my work email, and I actually typed my password in, but right as I hit enter I remembered a tip from a friend in accounting, which is that he always checks the sender's full address, not just the name. The real address was hr@docusgn-support.net, and that one missing 'i' made me close the tab and change my password, and I still feel sick about how close that was. Has anyone else had a phishing email that got past their gut check, and what finally tipped you off?
