A few years back I used the same password for everything, even my bank. Then my old Yahoo account got popped.

Nah, I actually don't see it that way. For me, that kind of mistake was a good lesson. It forced me to slow down and double-check my work, which helped me get better in the long run.

Betty I totally get where you're coming from but I see it differently. That same password mistake taught me nothing except how much of a pain it is to change fifty logins after a breach. It's not like I sat there and thought "wow now I really need to slow down" - I just got annoyed and bought a password manager. Simple fix, no deep lesson required. Sometimes a mistake is just a mistake, you know? Like forgetting to lock your car door once doesn't make you a better person, it just makes you remember to lock it next time.
