That coworker who always says "the customer is always right" broke my brain

I pulled up our store's refund log from last month and saw we gave back $1,240 to people who clearly broke the item themselves, one lady even admitted she dropped a blender on purpose. My manager just shrugged and quoted that old saying at me again, but he wouldn't look at the numbers on the screen. Has anyone else ever shown their boss proof of abuse and still got told to smile and hand over the cash?
