Vent: My roommate's old fridge finally gave up after 8 years of neglect

It died last Tuesday and dumped a puddle of spoiled milk and mystery leftovers all over the kitchen floor. Has anyone else had to deal with a roommate who refuses to chip in for a replacement?

This one time my buddy had a housemate who let their mini-fridge get so nasty it started growing mold that looked like a science experiment gone wrong lol. They ended up having to throw the whole thing out because the smell was so bad you could taste it from the hallway. Housemate still wouldn't pitch in for a new one, said it was "his fridge's natural life cycle." Some people have zero shame honestly.
