That $85 espresso machine my roommate swore we'd split, he moved out after 3 weeks
I fronted the whole cost for a machine he claimed he'd use every morning, then he left a note saying he was moving back in with his folks and never paid me a dime, so has anyone else gotten stuck covering a roommate's sudden big purchase idea?

Man, that stinks. My old roommate did the same thing with a fancy blender, we split the cost, and he used it twice before bailing to go live with his girlfriend. Still got that thing sitting in my cabinet, collecting dust, and I don't even like smoothies. Did you at least keep the machine or did he take it with him?
