Warning: that 'harmonized' setting in your car actually ruins bass lines
I read a sound engineering blog last night that said those factory 'loudness' or EQ presets cut the low end by like 6dB to avoid blowing stock speakers. I cranked up 'Sober' by Tool on my drive to work this morning and it sounded thin until I turned that setting off. Anyone else noticed this with a specific song you thought you knew?

Is it really that big of a deal? Just turn the knob.

You bring up a fair point about just turning the knob, @daniel857. But I think the bigger issue is that this design makes you have to move your hand away from the main controls in the middle of driving. Small things like that add up over time, especially on long trips. Once you get used to reaching for a knob in one spot, having it suddenly be in a different place just feels like an unnecessary distraction.
