Vent: My LMI load chart failed me on a 40 ft pick because I trusted the boom angle
Last Thursday at the Port of Tacoma I was making a 40 ft radius pick with a 12,000 lb load and my LMI gave me a green light, but the boom started flexing way more than I expected. I pulled the plug early and set it down, then found out the chart was set for a different boom length of 95 ft instead of the 110 ft I had out. Tbh I should have double checked the setup screen before the pick, not after. Anyone else catch their LMI reading off a preset after switching jobs?
