Just realized the best way to handle noisy neighbors at my building in Austin

Last month at my apartment complex in Austin, I started playing white noise through a Bluetooth speaker aimed at the shared wall instead of banging on it. It drowned out their bass without me having to talk to anyone. Has anyone else tried this trick for thin walls?

Totally get this. I've had to get creative with noise issues myself. Your mileage may vary, but sometimes just avoiding the conflict is the simplest fix.

Read somewhere that some people use a white noise machine on their side of the wall to cancel out bass frequencies. Works better than trying to match the volume.
