PSA: That guy at the diner who cornered me about 5G towers last Tuesday

He said the tower behind the gas station causes his dog's seizures and pulled up a blurry photo on his phone as proof. Has anyone else had a stranger get this intense about conspiracy stuff face to face?

and honestly that blurry photo thing has me dying lmao. it's always the worst quality image too, like a screenshot of a screenshot from 2012. i get that people want to connect dots and make sense of weird stuff happening around them, but the 5G tower panic just feels so recycled. remember when people blamed wi-fi routers for making birds act strange? or when cell towers were gonna give everyone brain cancer in the 90s? it's the same playbook every time. the dog probably has a medical condition or ate something bad, but nah it's gotta be the tower. i swear some people just need a villain to point at.

Wait hold on, you said "screenshot of a screenshot from 2012" and I just had to stop for a second because that's SO real. I swear I've seen that exact thing where someone will post a photo of a dog acting weird next to a tower and it looks like it was taken on a potato from the bottom of a swimming pool. And then they'll be like "look at the pixelated glow near the antenna" and it's literally just a smudge on the camera lens from 2011. But what gets me is how people will pour over these awful pictures like they're ancient scrolls trying to decode a mystery that probably just boils down to the dog seeing a squirrel or something. It's wild.
