Three man crew this week, one guy keeps floating too early

We're on a 2,400 square foot stamped job in Fort Worth and the new guy keeps hitting the float before the bleed water's gone. Brought it up Tuesday after he sealed a section near the garage, looked like crap by lunch. Has anyone else had luck slowing a green hand down without making them feel stupid? I need this slab to pass inspection but I also don't want to lose him mid-week.
