A veteran skipping the bull float flipped my whole method.

Bull floating is overrated for most residential jobs.

Saw a guy do that once on a big garage slab, just went straight to the magnesium float after the screed. Honestly changed how I work on smaller pours now. That extra wait for the bull float can let the cream set up too much sometimes. The mag gives you way more control over that first finish pass.
