Thermal paste pump-out on a 2019 iMac finally made sense
After a year of 100 degree Celsius idle temps and three failed repastes with standard paste, I switched to a thicker honeywell ptm7950 pad and the CPU dropped to 75 under load, has anyone else seen this kind of gap between paste types on factory sealed machines?

Maybe your machine had a mounting pressure issue instead.
