Just realized my whole bench setup was backwards after a chat with a retired IT guy
Was swapping hard drives at a client site in Duluth and the building's old maintenance dude, Frank, said I was wasting 20 minutes per job by not having my drive docks and cloning software on my cart instead of the bench. He ran a shop back in the 90s and said the fastest techs never sat down, they moved the tools to the job. Hit different because I've been doing this 6 years and my back already hates me from leaning over the desk, now I'm redoing my whole mobile kit with a $40 rolling cart and a spare monitor. Anyone else run jobs fully mobile or is that too much of a hassle for most?

Man, that reminds me of a buddy who did cell phone repairs out of his van, he rigged up a fold-out tray and ran everything off a power inverter, swore he cut his repair time in half just because he wasn't walking back and forth. He never went back to a bench after that.
