Found out thermal paste can dry out in under 2 years on a shelf, not just in the PC
Was cleaning out the back room at the shop in Boise last month and grabbed a tube of Arctic MX-4 that had a 2021 date on it. Squeezed some out and it was straight chalk, crumbly and useless. I always figured paste only went bad once it was cooked inside a running rig, but apparently the carrier fluid separates even in a sealed tube. Now I check dates on every tube before I use it on a customer build, anyone else run into this or am I just unlucky with how we store stuff?
