Shoutout to the diver who told me my drysuit hose routing was fine

Had a primary comms failure at 90 feet in Lake Michigan because the hose was rubbing against a sharp edge on my harness. I had to switch to backup and cut the dive short. Anyone have a better method for securing comms lines on Kirby Morgan gear?

My old rig had that same problem until I switched to spiral wrap.

That spiral wrap can hide a problem instead of fixing it. I saw a guy at the White Star quarry last year who wrapped his comms line so tight it kinked the hose inside. The real fix is rerouting away from the harness edge completely, even if it means a longer hose run. A little extra slack is cheaper than a lost comms at depth.
