After ten years, the seabed near my worksite looks barren

I was on a routine inspection dive yesterday. It struck me how empty the usual spots for marine growth are. We used to have to clear so much life from the structures. Now it's just silt and bare metal. Is this happening where you dive too?

Could be you're seeing a low point (it happens) not a permanent change.

Calling it a low point ignores that some changes stick around for good... like when a system update breaks your favorite app forever. Not everything has a fix or goes back to normal. Assuming it's temporary might just set you up for more letdown.
