Showerthought: the guy at the comic shop who "knows everything" is always wrong about movie adaptations
I was at Third Eye Comics in Annapolis last weekend and this dude spent 10 minutes telling a new fan that the Daredevil movie was "canon" to the comics... I just stood there flipping through a back issue, wondering if he ever actually reads the source material or just the wiki. Has anyone else noticed these guys are always the loudest? Are they just making it up as they go?

bro its not that deep. like yeah that guy at the shop is annoying but who cares if hes wrong about daredevil canon? movies are adaptations anyway so it barely matters. new fan will figure it out quick enough and move on. half the time those guys are just trying to sound smart to get attention. let him have his moment and then go back to your comics.

Oh man, this brings me back. There was this guy at my local shop who would argue that Nightwing's costume was originally supposed to be gray. Dead wrong. I just stood there holding my comics. Didn't say a word. @rowanellis you're right though, some of them just want to be the smartest person in the room. I let him go on for like ten minutes about this fake costume history. Finally I just walked to the register and bought my stuff. He's still probably telling people that story.
