Pro tip: Always test comic cleaners on a throwaway issue first

I messed up a nice cover by using a strong cleaner without testing it. Now I check on cheap comics from the discount box before trying anything on my good stuff. What do you use to clean old comics without causing damage?

After my own cover disaster, I feel @derekl79's pain, so now I just use spit and a prayer, lol.

Trust packing tape to solve that problem, hill.andrew. It's my go-to fix for a torn cover.

Learned that lesson the hard way too. My Superman logo faded faster than a speeding bullet. Now I just use a soft eraser and a lot of patience.
