Hit 1,000 issues in my collection this weekend, didn't see it coming

I was reorganizing my longboxes on Saturday and decided to actually count everything for once. Turns out I crossed 1,000 comics, mostly back issues I grabbed at flea markets in Akron over the last 5 years. I never kept a spreadsheet or anything, so seeing that number on paper felt weird, like I accidentally became a serious collector. Did anyone else pass a milestone they weren't tracking, and how did you celebrate or just stare at the boxes?

Man, I gotta push back on this. Counting your comics is the fastest way to ruin the fun, because now you're gonna start worrying about condition and value instead of just enjoying the hunt. Before you know it, you're gonna pass on a beat-up $2 issue of some weird title just because it's not a key, and that's when the hobby turns into work. Stare at the boxes, sure, but never put a number on it, cause once you do, you can't unsee it.

Counting them is just numbers, man. Not that deep.
