My barista buddy at the local shop said something about pour-over technique that messed with my head
He told me he actually pre-wets the filter with hot water from the tap instead of filtered water, and I argued with him for like 10 minutes before realizing he's been doing it for 5 years and his coffee always tastes better than mine. Has anyone else had a pro give you a tip that just went against everything you thought you knew?
