I finally deleted my first real code project after 3 weeks of spaghetti and started over
Picture this: me at my desk in Cleveland at 1am, staring at 400 lines of Python I wrote for a simple to-do app, and nothing worked anymore because I kept bolting on new features without any plan. I was so proud of all that code until I tried to add a due date field and the whole app just spit out errors I could not trace, mostly because I named my variables stuff like 'x2' and 'thing1'. So I did the thing every tutorial says not to do, I copied the whole folder into a backup and wrote a brand new version from scratch with actual function names and comments. Took me 4 hours but the new one actually runs, and now I get why people say plan first, code second. Has anyone else just nuked a beginner project and rebuilt it cleaner, or did you tough it out and refactor?
