Tool shadow boards beat my memory after 15 years on the floor

I finally put up a shadow board for my go-to wrenches after spending 20 minutes hunting for a 13mm last Tuesday in our shop. Turns out a guy from the night crew had borrowed it and never put it back, and the outline made the gap obvious in two seconds. Anyone else find that visual tool tracking works better than asking people to sign things out?
