Three-hour machine clean on a rush order debate

Faced a tight deadline for a batch of parts. My CNC was dirty from the last run. I cleaned it fully before starting. The job went smoothly with no errors. But we almost missed the delivery time. Some say skip cleaning to save hours. What's your view on patience vs. speed?

My memory gets wiped cleaner than that machine if I skip steps. Next Tuesday me is never happy with rushed Monday me.

Honestly that clean time gets paid back later avoiding a crash. Rushing just trades one deadline for a bigger problem next week.
