My $3 thrift store Trivial Pursuit night turned into a 4 hour grudge match
Bought a beat up 1981 edition at a Goodwill in Boise two Fridays ago and my friends got so competitive we started fact checking each other with our phones. Now we play every week and the loser has to cook dinner, so what's your go to cheap game that gets people way too heated?

Heard a story on a podcast about a family that banned phones at game night because the fact checking got so bad it ruined Thanksgiving one year. My go to is dominoes because it is cheap and simple but somehow people turn into total monsters over it. Last time we played my buddy slammed a tile down so hard the whole table shook. The loser cooks rule sounds fun but with my group somebody would probably burn the house down on purpose out of spite. Stick with Trivial Pursuit though, that 1981 edition has some truly wild answers that nobody alive today would ever guess.
