Switched from power stretcher to knee kicker on tight hallways

I used to always use my power stretcher for everything, no exceptions. Last Tuesday I tried a knee kicker on a 3 foot wide hallway in a house near Oakwood. It was way faster for those narrow spaces and I didn't have to fight with the pole scraping the walls. Has anyone else gone back to the old school tools for certain rooms?

That knee kicker in tight hallways is smart. The power stretcher on a 3 footer is just asking for trouble with the pole jamming into the trim. For really narrow runs under 4 feet the knee kicker gives you way more control. I still use the power stretcher for big open rooms but for bathrooms or laundry rooms the old tool is just faster.

@park.robin nailed it. I had the exact same wake up call last month on a 2.5 foot hallway in a rental. Power stretcher was scraping both sides, felt like I was wrestling an alligator. Switched to my old knee kicker and had that thing done in 10 minutes flat. Now I grab it for anything under 4 feet. Bathrooms, laundry rooms, closets. That extra control makes a big difference when you're crammed against a wall.
