I'm not buying the hype around those magnetic knee pads anymore...

Spent $85 on a pair last month thinking they'd be a game changer for transitions. They just kept sliding off my work pants on a big commercial job in Tempe. What do you guys actually use that stays put?

Actually had the opposite experience with that exact brand. The trick is to make sure the pant material isn't too thick or slick, like some of those polyester blends. Used them on a concrete pour last week and they stayed locked in place the whole day. Maybe the work pants were the problem, not the pads.

What pants were you wearing then? My carhartts are pretty thick, maybe that's it.

So Mila_perry13, are we just accepting that our pants are the problem now? Maybe the knee pads are just bad and we're all making excuses for them. Your Carhartts sound like they could stop a bullet, but they shouldn't need to fight your safety gear. Feels like we're doing all the work to make these things function. Next they'll tell us we need special knees.
