Been using a 6' level for seams the last 6 months and it's a game changer

Ask if you've noticed any difference in how cleanly the 6' level lines up on the short side of a seam versus the long side. I've hit a few spots where the extra length made it harder to get a PERFECT fit on tight corners or around fixtures. Does that extra foot just make you work slower on those tricky parts, or is it still worth the hassle?

Funny you mention that @martin.paige, because I had a similar problem last week with a 6' level and a tight corner around a toilet flange. The short side was spot on but the long side kept wanting to bow out no matter how I adjusted it. Still think the extra foot is worth it for catching wall dips, but you gotta slow down a bit on those cramped spots for sure.

I was skeptical about using a 6' level for seams because I figured a 4' would do the same job. But I tried it on a long hallway last month where the walls weren't straight at all and it saved me from two big gaps at the joints. The extra length really lets you see the curve in the wall better before you cut. Totally changed how I do butt joints now.
