Last month we hung 9 interior doors in a remodel out in Meridian and I noticed the jambs were out of plumb on 4 of them, maybe a quarter inch over the height. I brought it up to my lead and he waved me off, said the trim would hide it and I was overthinking it. So I trusted the guy with 20 years on me and we set them anyway. Three days after we pulled off the job the homeowner called about daylight showing at the top corner of the master bedroom door. Guess who got to go back and pull the casing, shim the jamb, and refit the door on my own time. That quarter inch cost me a whole Saturday and my lead never said a word about it. How do you guys handle it when the guy running the crew tells you to just move on?
